Charges against Roderick Gerard Hallihan, 53, allege dangerous and/or inattentive driving caused Mackenzie "Mack" Green's death in collision last fall at Youngs Cove
He absolutely did not make a sudden stop! The driver of the truck that killed Mack was going way way over the speed limit, failing to notice Mack's blinker and passing multiple cars that were lined up waiting for Mack to turn off. He hit them at a ridiculous speed. You guys really need to get the story straight. This is completely false information. It's actually the lie that the driver of the truck tried to tell the cops when they first arrived on scene. The truth will come out at court though I'm sure.
I certainly don't mean to suggest that was what actually happened. It was merely what the RCMP had reported last fall in a news release that's still posted on its website. In fact, the fact that Mr. Hallihan now faces charges as a result of the incident would call that initial report into question.
We'll have to wait until a trial or a sentencing hearing in the event of some kind of guilty plea to hear the truth of what happened.
Well actually I don't need to wait to hear the truth as it was my boyfriend in the passenger seat of Mack's car. Also, from what we heard about the accident reconstruction that was conducted by the RCMP, it is going to be very easy to prove that Roderick is at fault and that Mack didn't do anything wrong. I do realize that you are just reposting what the original report was but that still doesn't change the fact that it is false information and I felt the need to set the story straight. I'm so tired of that lie resurfacing again and again. It is absolutely FALSE! Roderick should be absolutely ashamed of the fact that he killed Mack and then tried to lie about what happened. He deserves to rot.
