RCMP seeks to identify shoplifting suspects
Police release photos of man, woman who left Boiestown store without paying for items
Update: The RCMP reported Thursday the two suspects have been identified.
The Doaktown detachment of the RCMP is investigating a theft at a Boiestown business last month, and it released photos of two suspects police are hoping to identify.
The RCMP issued a news release Wednesday afternoon, asking for tips from the public about a man and a woman believed to have been involved in a theft.
“The theft occurred on Oct. 24, 2024, between 5:15 p.m. and 5:35 p.m., when two individuals walked into a business on Highway 8 in Boiestown, took merchandise, then left the business without paying,” it said.
The Mounties shared photos of the pair and the vehicle in which they travelled.
“The first individual is described as a man with short hair and a trimmed beard. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a black baseball hat, sunglasses, light blue t-shirt, camouflage jacket, blue pants and black shoes,” the release said.
“The second individual is described as a woman. At the time of the theft, she was wearing a burgundy shirt, light beige cardigan, blue jeans, sandals and a white purse. She was carrying a burgundy jacket.”
The RCMP said the pair left the business in an older model blue Hyundai SUV.
Anyone with information that could lead to them being identified, who lives in the area and witnessed suspicious activity or who might have surveillance footage from the area from that timeframe is urged to call the Doaktown RCMP at 506-843-9400.
