Boiestown shoplifting suspects identified
RCMP released photos Wednesday of man, woman sought in investigation into theft at store
The man and a woman whom Mounties were seeking in a Boiestown theft investigation have been identified, police said Thursday, but there’s no indication of if or when they might face charges.
The Doaktown detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Wednesday afternoon, asking for the public’s assistance to identify two suspects suspected of shoplifting last month at a rural business.
“The theft occurred on Oct. 24, 2024, between 5:15 p.m. and 5:35 p.m., when two individuals walked into a business on Highway 8 in Boiestown, took merchandise, then left the business without paying,” it said.
Police also released security-camera photos of the pair and the vehicle in which they travelled.
In a followup Thursday morning, the Mounties advised the suspects had been identified.
“The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance,” it said.
The update made no mention of charges against the pair, if they’ve been arrested or questioned, or when they might appear in court.
