Woman denies firearms, stolen-property charges
Trial date for Madison Myshrall, 20, of Rusagonis, to be determined in November
A Fredericton woman facing serious weapons and stolen-property charges is headed to trial after entering not-guilty pleas Wednesday.
Madison Myshrall, 20, of Post Road in Rusagonis, appeared in Fredericton provincial court with defence counsel Angèle Normand on Wednesday to answer to numerous indictable charges.
She’s accused of illegal possession of a Hatsan Escort MPA-Camo 12-gauge shotgun; possession of a non-restricted, black Savage 64 22-calibre rifle without a licence; careless storage of the shotgun; possession of a prohibited weapon, a set of brass knuckles; and occupation of a vehicle in which she knew there was a shotgun.
Myshrall is also charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle belonging to W.B. Snow-Pro Services, possession of a stolen licence plate and possession of break-in instruments, namely a lock-pick set.
The charges all allege events in Fredericton on March 25.
Normand said her client was electing to be tried in provincial court and pleading not guilty to all counts.
Crown prosecutor Jennifer Bueno said at least one day of court time would be needed for the trial.
Judge Mary Jane Richards scheduled a case-management conference for Nov. 2 to address any issues that could be dealt with ahead of the trial. The date for the trial would be set at that time, she said.
