Former Fredericton resident Cinthia Bujold, 26, fined, ordered to participate in counselling

A woman who became hysterical in two separate encounters with police last year was ordered to participate in counselling for mental-health and addictions issues Tuesday.

Cinthia Bujold, 26, formerly Bridge Street in Fredericton, pleaded guilty in provincial court Tuesday to counts of having an elevated blood-alcohol level within two hours of driving and assaulting a city police officer.

Crown prosecutor Patricia Gillett said the impaired offence occurred April 8, 2023.
