Woman admits to charge in race-track case
Brittany Marie Alexander, 34, of Rusagonis, was facing trial for Speedway 660 break-in
A Rusagonis woman avoided a trial Monday stemming from a break-in at a Geary race track when she admitted to one of the lesser charges against her.
Brittany Marie Alexander, 34, of Post Road, was scheduled to stand trial Monday in Fredericton provincial court on June 14, 2022, charges of breaking into Speedway 660 on Branch Road in Geary with intent to commit a crime, possessing break-in instruments and driving while suspended.
However, defence lawyer Wanda Severns told Judge Scott Brittain the trial wouldn’t be proceeding, as they’d reached a resolution with the Crown.
