Warrants issued for suspect in phony 911 call case in Fredericton
Connor Riley MacIntosh is accused of fabricating text messages as well and making a false offence report, but he didn't attend court as directed Friday
A Fredericton man accused of faking a 911 call and text messages as part of a report about a crime that didn’t happen is now wanted by authorities after skipping court.
Connor Riley MacIntosh, 18, of Forest Hill Road, was due to make his first court appearance Friday on Nov. 20 charges of fabricating a 911 phone call and text messages intending that they be used as evidence in a proposed judicial proceeding, committing public mischief by making a false report of an offence and breaching a probation order, all in Fredericton.
When the case was called in provincial court Friday morning, MacIntosh wasn’t present, and prosecutor Karen Lee asked for arrest warrants to be issued on his two files.
Judge Anne Dugas-Horsman issued the unendorsed warrants, which mean once MacIntosh is arrested, police will have to bring him before a judge rather than release him on conditions.
