Two men who were supposed to make their initial court appearances Tuesday on allegations of drug-trafficking and weapons offences in Fredericton this spring didn’t show up as required.

Laren B. Leavitt, 47, of Regent Street in Fredericton, and Stephen Andrew Mohan, 44, of Victoria Street in St. Stephen, are charged jointly with indictable counts alleged to have occurred earlier this year.

They’re both accused of possessing heroin and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, possessing prohibited weapons (brass knuckles and a machete) and possessing break-in instruments (a crowbar and power tools).
