Warrant issued for Perth-Andover man
RCMP says James Hovey, 28, “wanted in connection with number of recent offences”
The Western Valley detachment of the RCMP is turning to the public for tips on the whereabouts of a Perth-Andover man wanted on an outstanding warrant of arrest.
“On May 7, 2024, a warrant of arrest was issued for 28-year-old James Hovey of Perth-Andover, N.B., in relation to charges that were laid in January 2024 for possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order,” the RCMP said in a news release Wednesday.
“James Hovey is also wanted in connection with a number of recent offences in the western region of the province.”
Hovey is described as being about 6’1” (185 centimetres) tall, weighing about 260 pounds (118 kilograms), with brown hair and blue eyes.
Police cautioned people against confronting the suspect.
“If you see James Hovey, please do not approach him, and call 911,” the release said.
