UNB student accused of break-in, assault
Counsel for Ahsanujjaman Tanvir, 19, of Fredericton, just received disclosure, court hears
A University of New Brunswick student accused of a home invasion at a College Hill home and of an assault with a weapon will return to court next month to elect mode of trial and enter pleas.
Ahsanujjaman Tanvir, 19, of George Street, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Thursday to answer to indictable charges alleged to have occurred late last year.
He’s accused of breaking and entering into a Graham Avenue home with the intent of committing an indictable offence and with assaulting Abir Zitu with a weapon (a glass mug), both on Dec. 18.
