A Nova Scotia man accused of inflicting bodily harm on a complainant during a sexual assault at Base Gagetown more than three decades ago will stand trial early next year.
Douglas Bourque, 68, of Middle West Pubnico, N.S., faces a charge of sexual assault causing bodily harm to a complainant, alleged to have occurred between Aug. 1 and Oct. 1, 1988, at Base Gagetown.
There’s a court-ordered publication ban in place protecting the identity of the complainant.
He’d previously elected to be tried before a judge and jury in the Court of King’s Bench, and the case on the docket for the King’s Bench motions day at the Burton Courthouse on Monday to set the trial.
