Transient defendant back in custody
Hakim Donnelle, 24, of no fixed address, admits to downtown property-damage offence
An unhoused man who was released from custody last week is back behind bars for committing vandalism at a downtown Fredericton business Monday after declaring his intent to live in Moncton.
Hakim Donnelle, 24, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by video conference from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre on Thursday, scheduled to go through a bail hearing.
He faced new charges alleging he damaged a window at Dooly’s on Queen Street and thereby breached his probation Monday.
