Tips sought on reckless ATV operator
Fredericton police investigate May 11 incident in which four-wheeler placed people at risk
The Fredericton Police Force is trying to identify an all-terrain vehicle operator who allegedly placed members of the public and officers at risk in the downtown area last month.
The force issued a plea for assistance from the public through social media Tuesday afternoon about an incident involving an unidentified ATV rider.

“On May 11, 2025, in the early morning hours, police responded to reports of a large, dark-coloured all-terrain vehicle (ATV) being driven recklessly through downtown Fredericton,” the release said.
“The ATV was seen driving through the Tannery, a pedestrian-only area, and travelling the wrong way on one-way streets. The rider, described as wearing dark clothing and a dark helmet with yellow insignia, ignored traffic laws and even drove directly at a police vehicle before swerving away.”
The force said it’s investigating because the driver’s “dangerous behavior posed a significant risk to public safety.”
Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect is urged to call the Fredericton Police Force at 506-460-2300.
