Standoff suspect admits to ammo charge

Assault, firearms counts against Andrew Jim Roberts, 40, reserved until after sentencing

A Fredericton man accused of domestic-violence and firearms-possession offences after a standoff last summer admitted to a single, lesser charge Friday.

Andrew Jim Roberts, 40, of Union Street and formerly of Maugerville, was scheduled to stand trial Friday in Fredericton provincial court, and he was brought to the Justice Building in person and in custody.

However, the case was moved to plea court Friday morning.
