An Alberta man who forwarded compromising pictures of a woman to someone else without her permission three years ago will be sentenced this fall.

Zachary Delamont, 29, was scheduled to stand trial Wednesday in Fredericton provincial court on a charge of knowingly transmitting intimate images of a woman between Feb. 15 and March 19, 2021.

There’s a court-ordered publication ban in place protecting the victim’s identity.

The trial didn’t proceed Wednesday, as Delamont and his defence counsel, Ian Hutchinson, both appeared in court by telephone - the defendant from Alberta, and the lawyer from Halifax.
