Shooting suspect seeks new defence counsel
Austin Fox, 20, accused of firing Magnum revolver at man in Upper Keswick last week
A shooting suspect’s bail hearing was postponed for a week Tuesday after he told a court he was switching things up in terms of his legal representation.
Austin Fox, 20, was scheduled for a court appearance Tuesday morning to schedule a bail hearing, and he appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre.
He was remanded last week after being charged with discharging a Magnum revolver with intent to wound, maim or endanger the life of Lucas Bubar; committing an aggravated assault on Bubar; possessing the revolver for a purpose dangerous to the public peace; possessing a restricted weapon; and possessing the revolver knowing he didn’t have a licence for it.
