Shooting suspect headed to trial
RCMP alleges Austin Fox, 21, discharged revolver at another man Oct. 9 in Upper Keswick
A defendant facing serious assault and firearm-discharge allegations will be back in court next month to scheduled trial dates after he denied the offences of which he’s accused Tuesday.
Austin Fox, 21, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court with defence lawyer Michael Mallory.
Fox elected to be tried in provincial court and pleaded not guilty to Oct. 9 counts of discharging a Magnum revolver with intent to wound, maim or endanger the life of Lucas Bubar; committing an aggravated assault on Bubar; possessing the Magnum for a purpose dangerous to the public peace; possessing a restricted weapon; and possessing the Magnum with the knowledge he didn’t have a licence for it.
