Sex offender denies he had contact with kids
Brandon Lee Cote, 30, of Oromocto, is headed to trial next month on breach allegations
An Oromocto man subject to a court order barring him from unsupervised contact with kids due to past convictions for child-pornography crimes denied allegations Monday he violated that order.
Brandon Lee Cote, 30, of Finnamore Street in Oromocto, appeared in Fredericton provincial court remotely from a custodial facility Monday to answer to three outstanding charges.
He elected to be tried in provincial court and pleaded not guilty to two counts of breaching a court order barring him from unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16.
The indictable charges allege events in Fredericton between Sept. 1 and Jan. 29, and in Oromocto on Jan. 6.
