Rural search underway for missing man
Ground search and rescue personnel in Central Hainesville to conduct operation Tuesday related to case of Michael Keetch, 48, of Waasis, who hasn’t been seen since mid-April
Two search-and-rescue outfits are conducting a search in Central Hainesville on Tuesday that’s related to the case of a Waasis man who’s been missing for three months.
York Sunbury Search and Rescue announced on social media Tuesday that it’s conducting “an active search operation” stemming from an RCMP missing-persons file related to Michael Keetch.
Keetch, 48, of Waasis, was reported as missing to police April 30, the RCMP reported previously, noting that he hadn’t been seen since he was last spotted on Nevers Road in Waasis on April 12.
York Sunbury Search and Rescue said its search Tuesday was focused on the 3500 block of Route 104 in Central Hainesville, and it’s being aided in the effort by personnel with Carleton Ground Search and Rescue Inc.
“Please avoid the area to allow teams to safely conduct search operations,” the organization said.
Keetch is described as being about 6’2” (191 centimetres) tall, weighing about 253 pounds (115 kilograms), with green eyes and brown hair.
The RCMP also released a photo of a car Keetch might have been driving.

It’s described as a red 2019 Hyundai Elantra with New Brunswick licence plate JTZ 034.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the Oromocto RCMP at 506-357-4300.
