Missing Royal Road woman found

RCMP's Keswick detachment had sought tips on whereabouts of Janice Wilson, 53

A woman from the Royal Road area, just outside of Fredericton’s north side, who’d been reported as missing since Thursday has been found safe, the RCMP reports.

The Keswick detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Saturday, reporting that Janice Wilson, 23, of Royal Road, had been reported as missing.

“Janice Wilson was last seen on Aug. 29, 2024, around 1 p.m. at a residence near the 2200 block of Route 620 in Royal Road. She was reported missing to the police on Aug. 30 [Friday],” the release said.

However, in a followup release Tuesday morning, the detachment advised Wilson had been found and was safe. It thanked the public for its assistance in the effort to find her.
