A former Bilijk (Kingsclear) First Nation man accused of robbing the community’s lounge and casino last month will remain in custody until the charges against him are resolved.

Brett Edward Francis, 43, formerly of Bilijk but currently of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court in custody by video Thursday for a bail hearing.

He’s accused of robbing the Wulastukw Casino and Lounge of cash while armed with an offensive weapon, masking his face during the alleged offence and breaching a probation order March 24; causing property damage to Bilijk property and breaching probation March 10; and assaulting Justin Acker, threatening him and breaching probation at Bilijk on Feb. 17.
