A man admitted this week to defrauding a Fredericton woman of cash and stealing her debit card last fall, and he’ll remain in custody pending sentencing.

Matthew Dillon McLaughlin, 39, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the Saint John Regional Correctional Centre to answer to charges alleging he victimized a city woman last year.
