Release the hound (from danger)!
Fredericton firefighters rescue furry friend from downtown residential roof recently
Firefighters are used to being called upon to save people’s butts in times of crisis, but fire department personnel in Fredericton were recently dispatched to save one party’s tail.
The Fredericton Fire Fighters’ Association, the union representing the capital’s firefighters, posted on social media Thursday afternoon about a recent call for service that was more than a little offbeat but definitely heart-warming.

“Last week, Fredericton firefighters responded to an unusual call downtown after a curious pup found itself stuck on a roof after climbing out through a window,” the association wrote.
“Crews quickly set up a ladder and safely reached the dog, who was brought down without injury and reunited with its owner.”
The dog in question appears to be a breed of hound, but we wonder if he might be part mountain goat, given his predicament.
