RCMP seeks tips on Yoho Lake break-ins
Summer properties about 25 kilometres southwest of Fredericton were burgled June 15
The RCMP is investigating a pair of break-ins at properties in Yoho Lake near Fredericton, and it’s hoping members of the public can identify a suspect caught on camera.
The Keswick detachment of RCMP issued a news release Wednesday, noting officers are investigating two instances of break, enter and thefts at summer properties in Yoho Lake, about 25 kilometres southwest of Fredericton.
“The thefts are believed to have occurred on June 15, 2024, between 3:30 and 3:45 p.m., from two seasonal homes on Chessie Road,” the release said.
“An individual forcefully gained entry to the homes by breaking a window and a door.”

Included with the news release was a still image of the suspect that appeared to be captured from security video.
“Police are releasing a photo of the individual in hopes that someone may recognize him. The individual is described as being a man, approximately 5’6” (167 centimetres) tall, with a medium build. He had brown hair and brown eyes,” the release said.
“At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black and tan baseball hat, a black hoodie with the word ‘SYNERGY’ on the chest and white lettering on the sleeve, tan gloves, camouflage cargo pants and black sneakers. He left the scene driving a silver Buick Allure.”
Among the items stolen in the break-ins were the following:
a Black and Decker cordless drill,
a Dewalt four-foot level,
a spotting scope,
a Solo stove,
a Ryobi cordless brad nailer,
a Starlink internet modem box,
a Google doorbell camera,
an old laptop and case,
a Makita 18V drill and battery,
a telescope,
a 32" smart TV,
a Bose sound bar,
an Amazon fire stick,
a bedside lamp,
and a humidifier.
The RCMP is asking anyone who recognizes the suspect, who lives in the area and witnessed unusual activity during the relevant timeframe or who has other relevant information to call the Keswick detachment at 506-357-4300.
