Mounties sought tips from public Monday on whereabouts of Matthew Wheelhouse, 41
An investigation into the whereabouts of a missing Hanwell man has been resolved, the Keswick detachment of the RCMP reports, noting he was located not long after the case was reported publicly.
The RCMP issued a news release at noon Monday, advising that Matthew Wheelhouse, 41, of Hanwell, was considered a missing person.

“Matthew Wheelhouse was last seen on April 11, 2025, at approximately 10 p.m., near Priestman Street, in Fredericton,” the release said. “He was reported missing to police the same day.”
However, in an update posted to social media shortly before 3:30 p.m. Monday, the Keswick detachment advised he’d been found.
“The 41-year-old man from Hanwell who was reported missing to police on April 11, 2025, has been located safe,” it said. “The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.”
