RCMP probes fatal Burtts Corner crash
Mounties issue public plea for witnesses, camera footage of two-vehicle collision June 6
A 61-year-old woman from Burtts Corner has died as a result of a two-vehicle collision in the rural community near Fredericton last Friday, the RCMP reports.
The Keswick detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Tuesday afternoon about an accident the morning of Friday, June 6, that proved to be fatal.
“On June 6, 2025, at approximately 11:21 a.m., members of the Keswick RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Route 104 in Burtts Corner,” it said.
“The driver of the first vehicle was not injured. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were transported to hospital.”
That passenger, a 61-year-old woman from the community, later died from her injuries, the release said.
Also responding to the scene Friday morning were personnel with the Keswick Valley Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick, and an RCMP collision reconstructionist was also on site to aid with the ongoing investigation.
The RCMP is asking anyone who was travelling in the area at the time of the incident and who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dash camera footage from the time of the collision, to call the Keswick detachment at 506-357-4300.
