Psych exam ordered for homeless suspect
Charged with harassing woman in Fredericton, defrauding barbershop, Logan Bradley Fletcher, 23, of no fixed address, to undergo assessment to determine fitness to stand trial
A transient accused of stalking a woman in Fredericton and of fleecing a barbershop for a free haircut asked a court Thursday to order a psychiatric assessment.
Logan Bradley Fletcher, 23, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court in person and in custody Thursday, scheduled to go through a bail hearing.

However, he instead asked Judge Mary Jane Richards to order a 30-day psychiatric assessment to determine if he’s fit to stand trial.
Fitness assessments are conducted to see if an accused understands the court process, can instruct counsel and participate meaningfully in his or her defence.
