Masoud Masoori, 33, of Lincoln, has been admitted to Fredericton hospital for treatment
A Lincoln man accused of trying to take a Mountie’s firearm in a tense tussle earlier this year will undergo a psychiatric assessment.
Masoud Masoori, 33, of Nevers Road, was scheduled to enter pleas in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday to Feb. 6 counts of assaulting RCMP Const. Matthew Norzil, attempting to disarm Norzil, and resisting Norzil and Const. Jeffrey Cameron.
Masoori’s defence counsel, Denis Sawyer, joined the proceedings by telephone and told the court his client wasn’t prepared to enter pleas.
