A home-construction company based in the capital is headed to trial in a year’s time on two charges laid by WorkSafe New Brunswick after a worker was hurt on the job last fall.

Today’s Homes Ltd. - which does business as Northrup Homes - was back on the Fredericton provincial court docket Monday to answer to two charges under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
The counts are for allegedly failing to ensure a portable ladder for use by an employee was properly secured and failing to ensure side rails on the ladder extended at least one metre above any landing.
