Police sought tips about Shawn Joseph Sullivan, 40, who was reported as missing Thursday
A Plaster Rock man who was reported as missing Thursday has been located, the RCMP now reports.
The Perth-Andover detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Friday afternoon about Shawn Joseph Sullivan, 40, of Plaster Rock, who’d gone missing the day before.
“Shawn Joseph Sullivan was last seen on March 19, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m. at a residence on Tobique Street in Plaster Rock. He was reported missing to police the same day,” the release said.
“Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate him but have so far been unsuccessful. Police are concerned for his well-being.”
However, in an update post in the early-morning hours of Sunday, the Mounties announced the situation had been resolved.
“The 40-year-old man from Plaster Rock, N.B., who was reported missing to police on March 19, 2026, has been located safe,” a revised news release stated.
“The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance.”
