Perth-Andover man still missing months later
RCMP renews plea for tips on whereabouts of Donald James Pirie, 29, last seen in January
Almost seven months since he was last seen, the RCMP has renewed its appeal to the public for information on the whereabouts of a Perth-Andover man.
The RCMP’s Perth-Andover detachment issued an advisory in February about Donald James Pirie, 29, AKA DJ Pirie, of Perth-Andover.
At that time, the force reported he’d been reported missing and was last seen in the area Jan. 30, and it asked the public to report any relevant information that could aid in the effort to locate him.
The RCMP renewed that plea Wednesday, six months later.
In Wednesday’s update, the Mounties offered no new additional information, though the force had updated the public on the case twice before.
On Feb. 14, it advised that an increased police presence near Tilley, about 18 kilometres north of Perth-Andover, stemmed from the effort to find Pirie.
In March, the RCMP reported Pirie had last been seen near Churchland Road and Lerwick Road in Tilley on Jan. 30.
Pirie is described as being about 5’8” (178 centimetres) tall, weighing about 170 pounds (77 kilograms), with blue eyes and blond hair.
He has a scar in the middle of his head and several tattoos, the RCMP said, and he was last seen wearing a gold watch, a gold chain with a cross and black shoes.
Anyone with information on Pirie’s whereabouts is urged to call the Perth-Andover RCMP at 506-273-5000.
