A man and woman from the capital region denied cannabis charges through counsel Thursday, and they’ll stand trial on those allegations in the spring of 2026.

Floyd Donald MacIntosh, 46, of Mazerolle Settlement Road in Mazerolle Settlement, and Julie Dawn Hellmeister, 41, of Barton Crescent in Fredericton, were charged late last year with alleged violations of the Cannabis Act, and their cases were back on the Fredericton provincial court docket Thursday.

The pair wasn’t present for their proceedings Thursday, but Burke Law Group articling student Shane Hill appeared as an agent for their defence counsel, lawyer Ron Morris.
