Oromocto pair accused of animal neglect

An Oromocto man and woman will return to court next month to enter pleas after they were charged this week with neglecting a dog last fall.
Justin Paul M. MacFadyen, 30, and Melissa Victoria Matheson, 29, both of Maclaren Drive in Oromocto, made their first appearances in Fredericton provincial court Friday to answer to charges laid by animal-protection officers with the New Brunswick SPCA.
They both face one count each under the Criminal Code of Canada and the New Brunswick SPCA Act alleging they failed to provide adequate/suitable food and care for a dog.
