UPDATE: Missing Oromocto man found - RCMP
Police had sought tips on whereabouts of Brandon Burley McLean, 25
An Oromocto resident reported as missing to police this week has been found, the RCMP reported Saturday, but it made no mention of whether they’re under arrest on an outstanding warrant.
The Oromocto detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Friday stating that Brandon Burley McLean, 25, had been reported as missing Thursday. The force said there were concerns for their well-being.
In a followup release Saturday, the RCMP announced they’d been located safe.
Though the news release doesn’t mention it, McLean identifies as non-binary on a social-media account, and they also go by the name Quinn McLean.
Both RCMP releases about McLean were silent on a warrant for McLean’s arrest and if they were taken into custody upon being found.
They failed to appear in Fredericton provincial court Sept. 26 for a trial on a charge of breaching a sex-offender information registration order.
