Oromocto man denies indictable sex assault
Defence for Riley Richards, 21, opts for trial in provincial court, which is set for May 2026
An Oromocto man accused of choking a woman during the course of an alleged sexual assault last fall will stand trial on the charge in a year’s time.
Riley Richards, 20, of Drummond Drive, wasn’t present in Fredericton provincial court when his case was called Wednesday, but defence lawyer Ian Donihee appeared on his behalf.
Richards faces an indictable charge alleging he choked a woman while committing a sexual assault on her in Oromocto on Nov. 17.
