An unhoused Fredericton man admitted Monday to attacking employees at a downtown liquor store six months ago, and he’ll be sentenced in the new year.

Liban Ali Ahmed-Shardi, 31, of no fixed address, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone Monday, scheduled to go through a case-management conference ahead of trial on charges of assault, property damage and breach of probation.

However, prosecutor Rodney Jordan and defence lawyer Bronwyn Mooney told the court the case had been resolved.

Ahmed-Shardi changed his pleas to guilty on all charges, including two counts of assault with a weapon (a glass pipe) on Maximillian Cantwell and Floyd Fox.
