Odell Park attack case still open
Fredericton Police Force says investigation into May 14 incident is ongoing, tips still sought
Despite a specific suspect description and a quick response to a report of an attack at a southside park more than three weeks ago, officers are seeking tips from the public in the case.
Fredericton resident Phoenix Craft called police to report she’d been attacked in Odell Park around noon May 14, which prompted a major police presence at the park, which was closed to the public for a short time while a search was performed.

“At approximately 12:15 p.m. [May 14], police responded to a report of an assault where the victim’s purse was stolen, and the suspect fled on foot,” the force posted on social media that day.
“The victim sustained minor physical injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.”
