A Wolfville, N.S., man serving prison time for various offences including past frauds admitted this week to committing a similar crime in Fredericton six years ago.

Tyler Janz Fairrae, 29, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from Dorchester Penitentiary on Thursday to answer to charges dating back several years.

He was accused of defrauding Brianna Hood of less than $5,000 and thereby breaching a probation order between Feb. 12 and 21, 2018, as well as a Sept. 19, 2019, count of failing to attend court to answer to those counts.

“I can advise we have reached resolution,” duty counsel Gwynne Hearn told the court Thursday.
