Joshua Charchuk, 36, elects to be tried in Court of King’s Bench by judge without jury

A Nova Scotia man accused of a sexual offence in the capital region seven years ago opted through counsel Wednesday for a superior-court trial.

Joshua Charchuk, 36, of Parker Street in Dartmouth, faces an indictable charge alleging he sexually assaulted a complainant at Base Gagetown in Oromocto on Sept. 29, 2017.

His case was back on the docket in Fredericton provincial court Wednesday.
