Noonan man dies in early-morning crash
Lone occupant ejected from vehicle in single-vehicle accident in Durham Bridge, says RCMP
Correction: The initial version of this story incorrectly stated in part the accident occurred in Dumfries when it was actually in Durham Bridge. We regret the error.
A young Noonan man was killed in an early-morning accident in Durham Bridge on Saturday, the Mounties report.
The Keswick detachment of the RCMP issued a news release Saturday morning about a fatal accident that occurred hours before that claimed the life of a 21-year-old man from Noonan.
“On May 10, 2025, at approximately 3:10 a.m., members of the Keswick RCMP, Nashwaak Valley Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 148 in Durham Bridge,” the release said.
“The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver, travelling southbound on Route 148, lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and was ejected from the vehicle.”
He died from his injuries at the scene, it said.
The RCMP said a collision reconstructionist with the force and a member of the New Brunswick coroner's office are assisting with the ongoing investigation, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the victim’s cause of death.
