Noonan man denies fraud, weapon charges
Trial dates for Rodney Shane Jewett, 37, on indictable counts will be set later this month
A Noonan man accused of defrauding a Fredericton business, having counterfeit cash and possessing stolen gift cards has denied the allegations against him.
Rodney Shane Jewett, 37, of Watters Road, appeared in Fredericton provincial court Tuesday with defence lawyer T.J. Burke to answer to several indictable charges.

He’s accused of possessing $2,080 in counterfeit U.S. currency, defrauding Dooly’s in Fredericton of less than $5,000, possessing stolen prepaid gift cards worth less than $5,000, and possessing a prohibited weapon, namely brass knuckles.
The charges all allege offences in Fredericton between March 21 and 29.
