No prelim sought by defence in murder case
Corey Agnew, 35, of Minto, accused of killing Robbie Waugh and Victoria King in November
A murder suspect’s new lawyer told a court Thursday the defence won’t be seeking a preliminary inquiry in the case and asked for it to be referred to a higher court to schedule a jury trial.
Corey Agnew, 35, of Willow Drive in Minto, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the Southeast Regional Correctional Centre in Shediac on Thursday.
He’s charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the Nov. 25 deaths of Robert (Robbie) Wayne Waugh, 47, and Victoria King, 23.
