Almost three months after a 17-year-old teen was arrested in a homicide investigation in Nasonworth, the lawyers representing him have yet to receive disclosure of the Crown file.

The Nasonworth teen facing a count of second-degree murder appeared in Fredericton youth court Wednesday by video-conference from the youth jail in Miramichi, scheduled to enter a plea to the charge.

The underage suspect - whose identity is protected as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act - was arrested May 13 in Nasonworth, about 15 kilometres south of Fredericton, after Mounties responded to a report of an assault with a weapon that morning.

A 34-year-old sustained serious injuries in the incident, police reported at the time, and he died at the scene.
