A Grand Lake-area man awaiting trial on a fraud case found himself charged Thursday with unrelated allegations of committing sexual offences against a minor in Fredericton a few years ago.

Joseph Samuel MacPherson, 45, of Route 10 in New Zion, near Minto, appeared in Fredericton provincial court by telephone from the cellblock at the Fredericton police station Thursday morning.
