New warrants issued for firearms suspects

A Geary couple who was a no-show to answer to numerous charges related to the illegal 3D printing of firearms has been formally charged with failure to attend court.
Brady Geoffrey Storey, 30, and Leslie Dawn Boyd, both of Broad Road in Geary, face a long list of RCMP charges all alleging involvement in an illegal scheme to make homemade firearms. The charges include:
manufacturing 3D-printed handguns and handgun frames without authorization;
possessing those 3D-printed items with intent to transfer them;
possessing prohibited 3D-printed firearms with readily accessible ammunition;
possessing a revolver and two 3D-printed handguns without a licence;
possessing those firearms without a licence or registration certificate;
possessing prohibited weapons (five sets of brass knuckles);
and possessing prohibited devices (an auto-conversion kit and six overcapacity ammo magazines).
They were supposed to elect mode of trial and enter pleas Nov. 8 in Fredericton provincial court, but when their case was called, they weren’t present.
