A Fredericton man sentenced to prison time for helping a killer avoid arrest in the days after he shot and killed another man in 2019 lost his bid to overturn his accessory conviction Thursday.

Joshua O’Hara, 38, of Hartt Street, was sentenced to two years in prison in 2022 after standing trial in the Court of King’s Bench on a charge of being an accessory to murder after the fact.

He sought to challenge that conviction, filing a notice of appeal with the New Brunswick Court of Appeal soon thereafter.

But in a unanimous decision issued Thursday, a three-judge panel of the province’s top court dismissed his case.
