Downtown accident at intersection of Regent, Queen shuts down traffic Thursday evening
Members of the Fredericton Police Force closed a downtown intersection Thursday evening to conduct an investigation after a car and motorcycle collided, sending the rider to hospital.
Police were dispatched to the intersection of Regent and Queen streets in downtown Fredericton at 6:37 p.m. Thursday after a vehicle and motorcycle collided, police spokesperson Sonya Gilks told the Fredericton Independent.

In addition to police, personnel with the Fredericton Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene, she said.
“[Ambulance New Brunswick] has since transported an individual (motorcycle driver) to hospital,” Gilks wrote in an email Thursday night, noting the motorcyclist’s injuries were unknown.
The police force’s accident reconstruction team were on the scene Thursday evening, she said, and they closed the intersection while the investigation was underway, but it reopened around 8 p.m.
