More jail time for brutal spousal assault

An Oromocto man wept Wednesday as it became apparent a judge wasn’t going to spring him from custody, sentencing him to more jail for terrorizing and battering his wife last year.
Adam Crowley, 30, of Tweedsmuir Court in Oromocto, pleaded guilty this summer assaulting his wife, Karimah Crowley, and thereby causing her bodily harm; forcibly confining her, threatening her and damaging her cellphone.
The charges arose after a disturbing and violent incident between the couple in the family car, with their young children, then aged three and five years, sitting in the back seat.
