More bizarre behaviour in slashing case
Judge sends Colin Jaffar Rogers, 28, of Fredericton, back to jail after he pretends to be unable to hear her during repeated efforts to get his bail hearing started Thursday
A suspect in an alleged slashing assault and robbery at Canadian Tire earlier this year continued to frustrate the judicial process in yet another fizzled attempt at a bail hearing Thursday.
Colin Jaffar Rogers, 28, of Westbrook Lane in Fredericton, was brought to Fredericton provincial court in person and in custody, scheduled to go through a bail hearing.
He’s been in custody since his arrest March 20 on charges of aggravated assault on Joseph Godin by wounding him and endangering his life, assault on Godin with a weapon (a utility knife), robbery by assaulting Godin, possession of a machete for a purpose dangerous to the public peace, an assault on Fredericton police Const. Deana Joka and resisting arrest.
