Minto woman gets 6 years for manslaughter
Jodie Carrie Clark, 32, killed Alexander “Andy” Ladds by striking in him head with bat
A Minto woman who brained her boyfriend with a baseball bat in 2022, killing him, has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Deputy sheriffs transported Jodie Carrie Clark, 32, of Minto, in custody to the Burton Courthouse on Tuesday for her sentencing hearing before Court of King’s Bench Justice Stephen Doucet.

Clark was originally charged with second-degree murder in the Oct. 10, 2022, death of her boyfriend, Alexander “Andy” Ladds, but she pleaded guilty in February to the lesser, included offence of manslaughter.
An agreed statement of facts in the case was filed with the court at that time, and it detailed how and why Clark came to kill Ladds.
